"A FAITHFUL FRIEND"

FRIENDS are important to us. Some we know to be casual, some are close , and yet still others so dear as we claim best of friends.  A faithful friend is known to be loyal, one we can depend on and turn to in any given circumstance of our lives. Yet it is certain that we have let each other down occasionally.  Perhaps it was not even intentional.  We fail simply because we are human.   Even our own family members have caused us pain.   Not to despair; Christ Jesus reassures us in His word "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God. (Deuteronomy 7:9).  Because of His very nature he could not be God and be unfaithful. (2Timothy 2:13: "If we are faithless, He will remain faithful for He cannot disown himself).
He never changes.  He never fails.  He never goes back on any of His promises.  For He is God:  He cannot cease to be what He is.  He cannot act out of character with Himself.  We have His assurance of  "A Faithful Friend!"   Sometimes our trials may cause us to lose sight of Him.  He does not move from us. Hebrews 13:5 tells us "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." If we call on Him He is always faithful and forgiving.
This kind of friendship brings real joy.  Romans 5:1-2 "So now, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith in His promises, we can have real peace with Him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.  For because of our faith, He has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be."
So my dear friends, let us be "Mindfull of Christ" and He as "A Faithful Friend" is sure to fill our hearts and minds as we walk this journey with Him!
