Freedom Of Christ

I began my blog with "A Faithful Friend" to set the stage for "Mindfull of Christ".  As I take this journey with Christ, I must be equipped for it.  With Jesus as my "Faithful Friend", I will now begin to move forward.  Would I dare travel in bondage?  Of course not.  During these past few weeks I'd been participating in  Beth Moore study of "Breaking Free", and to my surprise I suddenly realized  that I was in bondage.  While yet struggling down rough roads I just could not move forward.   Well, Praise Him, I have realized, confessed, then repented of my bondage of unbelief.  Boulder one rolled away.  Clear path?  Likely  not.  But I can now continue my journey in peace down this path I'm currently travelling. I'm enjoying the scenery of His marvelous creation and hearing the sweet sounds through His still small voice.  I want to ponder here for a while, and maybe this will be ok, but I know that I must move on in order to reach my destination.  I won't rush myself, cause I want Him to fill me with all that I will need to make this a smooth travel.  And I'm walking with my "Faithful Friend" who's with me to lead, guide, direct and even protect me along the way.  "Oh what a Friend I have in Jesus, All my sins and grieves to bear;  what a priviledge to carry, everything to God in prayer!  Now I must equip myself with the full armour of Christ: Belt of Truth; Breastplate of Righteousness; Shoes of the Gospel of Peace; Shield of Faith; Helmet of Salvation; and Sword of the Spirit: the Word of God.  Then I will be ready to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of the enemy/Satan.  Then shall I trod this peaceful path with Jesus "My Faithful Friend" with a "Mindfull of Christ"!! Hallejuah, Amen!

"A FAITHFUL FRIEND"

FRIENDS are important to us. Some we know to be casual, some are close , and yet still others so dear as we claim best of friends.  A faithful friend is known to be loyal, one we can depend on and turn to in any given circumstance of our lives. Yet it is certain that we have let each other down occasionally.  Perhaps it was not even intentional.  We fail simply because we are human.   Even our own family members have caused us pain.   Not to despair; Christ Jesus reassures us in His word "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God. (Deuteronomy 7:9).  Because of His very nature he could not be God and be unfaithful. (2Timothy 2:13: "If we are faithless, He will remain faithful for He cannot disown himself).
He never changes.  He never fails.  He never goes back on any of His promises.  For He is God:  He cannot cease to be what He is.  He cannot act out of character with Himself.  We have His assurance of  "A Faithful Friend!"   Sometimes our trials may cause us to lose sight of Him.  He does not move from us. Hebrews 13:5 tells us "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." If we call on Him He is always faithful and forgiving.
This kind of friendship brings real joy.  Romans 5:1-2 "So now, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith in His promises, we can have real peace with Him because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.  For because of our faith, He has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to actually becoming all that God has had in mind for us to be."
So my dear friends, let us be "Mindfull of Christ" and He as "A Faithful Friend" is sure to fill our hearts and minds as we walk this journey with Him!
